Ralph Lauren Pink Pony Campaign: 100 Bloggers Unite!

This fall, Polo Ralph Lauren will mark a philanthropic milestone with
the 10th anniversary of Pink Pony.

{Ralph Lauren Pink Pony Polo, Sold Design Lab skinny jeans, Stephanie Johnson clutch, Bumper boots, Vintage sunglasses and watch}

On October 3rd and 4th, 100% of all net proceeds received from Pink Pony products sold at Ralph Lauren stores and on RalphLauren.com will benefit the
Pink Pony Fund and fight against Cancer.

Growing up, I remember wearing Ralph Lauren. Polo shirts were always my favorite.

To find out that Fashion Chalet was invited to be a part of Ralph Lauren Enlisting 100 Bloggers to Model for Pink Pony's 10th Anniversary is an honor.

I also want to thank all of my readers, your support means a lot to me! I'd love it if you could introduce yourselves.

Pierre Hardy for Gap Fall 10

I've worn my Spring 2010 Pierre Hardy for Gap wedges too many times to count. The debut?
See them again here.

Pierre Hardy knocks another one out of the park. This Fall, suede is all the rage. Here's a peek of the peep-toe platform wedges that hit Gap shelves (and online) October 19th. I can't wait to wear mine with sweaters and lots of layers.

Scout likes them too.

Fashion Week at Lincoln Center

{Storets blazer, Vintage sequin blouse, Leyendecker skirt, Mar Y Sol clutch, Abazias earrings, Vintage sunglasses, Moschino platform wedges}

What I liked about Lincoln Center as the new venue for Fashion Week:
• The elegance.
• How everything seemed so serene and calm.
• The quick check-in.
• Pausing to pose on the catwalk in my Moschino wedges.
• Being spotted by Street Style photographers. Is it OK to admit I blushed?
• Chatting with Olivia Palermo.
• Learning that Rachel Zoe had walked by moments before I arrived.
• Seeing Freja Beha, Anna Selezneva and Magdalena Frackowiak in Ports 1961 thisclose. I'm a huge fan!
• Finally getting to wear my olive green Leyendecker skirt. Previously worn in orange here.
• Meeting Photographer Jonathan Alpeyrie. You might remember him from the City.
• Knowing that Gossip girl is filming there this week.

Ps. Leyendecker is offering a 25% OFF discount for the green skirt if you email contact@leyendeckerlosangeles.com and mention Fashion Chalet!!!!

Erin Wasson Encounter

During New York Fashion Week this year, I saw so many familiar famous faces mere inches away from me. Surreal to say the least. Everyone is even prettier in person, if that's even possible? After one of the shows, Lindsey and I were waiting to hail a cab when lo and behold Erin Wasson was shooting right next to us. Before a large SUV pulled up and scooped her inside, Lindsey managed to capture this quick snapshot. Erin is even taller in person too, incredible!

The M&M Store in New York

{Monday Martini top, James Jeans Twiggy Karma, Nightingale bag, Old Navy ballet flats}

The color coded candy machines are brilliant. I'm partial to the pastels and yellow, myself.

What is your favorite M&M color?

Cherry Street

{Vintage dress, Gap denim jacket, XOXO clutch via TJ Maxx, Franco Sarto heels}

The day after my Birthday, my family and I went out to lunch. I picked my favorite tropical treat, Bahama Breeze. We had fruit tart for dessert.

Today is Alejandro's birthday. We're only 5 days and 2 years apart in age... The plan is to surprise him with Tres Leches (milk cake) a party and presents.

Birthday Dinner

From the moment I put this dress on, I felt as if it had been designed with me in mind. The detailing along the seam is brilliant.

On my Birthday, last Friday, I was lucky enough to receive an invitation to a Fashion Show featuring Raleigh's local designing talent. 25 designers showcased their unique collections fused with original music from various North Carolina bands. I got to peek backstage which was also really cool. I have plenty of photographs to sift through, so be on the lookout for that really soon.

Later that evening, Alejandro and I enjoyed a lovely meal at Brio Tuscan Grille. I ordered the Sweet Potato & Chicken Risotto while he opted for the Penne Mediterranean- chock full of mushrooms, caramelized onions, feta, pine nuts and sundried tomatoes.

I already know that this scarf will find a lot of use come Fall and Winter. Both the color scheme and design have infinite mixing and matching possibilities.

{Ports 1961 dress, Scarf via TJ Maxx, Forever 21 ring, Franco Sarto sandals, Marysol clutch, Abazias earrings}

Thanks for all of your Warm Birthday wishes!

Lincoln Center, Fashion's Debut!

West 58th Street

{American Apparel raglan, James Jeans Twiggy Karma, Senso boots, Nightingale bag}

New York Fashion Week, for me, began with a short Plane trip, tasty wraps in a diner, IFB, and checking into my Hotel. I was fortunate enough to meet up with fellow blogger, Jillian of Style Nova along the way. Meeting face-to-face for the first time is amazing, especially after having chatted only via blogger for nearly two years. Rewind― I attended IFB (in between meetings) and was charmed by both Susie Bubble and Bryan Boy. I also got to meet with Delmy, Anne, and Nubia. It was great!

Bryan Boy was so approachable and I really enjoyed his portion of the conference session.

Mara Hoffman Spring 2011

The Mara Hoffman presentation encompassed essential Spring/Summer wardrobe staples. A tribal tone clearly prevailed. The mix of muted olives and mustard yellows married well with the pops of hot pink and lime green. The live South American music mingled fantastically among the palm trees, sand and mojitos. There was a cool, calm and casual air about the entire collection. Brava!

{I cannot wait for Spring to wear olive tone rompers}

{Keen on everything about this: heavy eyeliner, skinny belt, hat and beach hair}

{I must have taken 20 pictures of this dress.}

{Casual cool, I'm partial to the loose fit}

{Graphic print pants are all I want now}

{The esteemed Kelly Cutrone}

{Dreaming in color} - This was the day I spotted Kate Lanphear. She walked right by...

Inspired in part by her own personal style of dressing, Hoffman introduced what she called a "military gone native" theme. The collection featured vibrant prints with mystical and ethnic influences.

Today is my Birthday. Excited for NCFW tonight and a romantic dinner. Thanks for all the wonderful Birthday twitter messages. :)

Olivia Palermo at Ports 1961

{Backstage at Ports 1961}

I have been a fan of Olivia Palermo and her singular style for as long as I can remember. Her nails are always properly polished, her hair perfectly coiffed. Her shoe collection is equally enviable. Olivia's personality is just as sparkling in person. I was happy to hit things off so well with the modern Audrey Hepburn herself.

I love her new hair. She debuted it at Ports 1961.

PS. Congrats to The Jazzy Belle, winner of the Capezio Ballet flats giveaway courtesy of La Dama!
