Glittering Skin

This field reminds me of where Edward takes Bella in Twilight. The shimmering sun in back felt like glitter on my skin and hair. I never knew I would end up falling for this Vampire phenomenon so hard....

Laidback or Ladylike?

Laidback Donna

1.) Ecote Canvas Backpack The perfect slouchy, soft festival tote.
2.) Yves Saint Laurent Aco Flower Ring Who says camping can't include a little sparkle on your ring finger?
3.) BDG Cinched Anorak Come rain, come snow, come sleet... stay cool in Army olive.
4.) Opaque Knee Socks A smart way to beat bugs, weeds, and scratches without giving up comfort or style.
5.) Jeffrey Campbell Lita You can't deny a better union than knee socks, an anorak and campfire food. Besides... hello, they're Mustard!!!

Ladylike Louise

1.) Lovely Dovely Dress The print, of course, won me over instantly. The flutter sleeves are as endearing as the name.
2.) Le Chapeau Noir Chic, glam and ultra incognito.
3.) Fibonacci Coat Is an easy nod to Old Hollywood and its iconic starlets. I fantasize about wearing a coat like this someday, in Europe, on my way to a lavish Museum.
4.) Vintage Portrait Ring It's as if a moment in History were captured to wear upon your hand in remembrance.
5.) Mikimoto Pearls Akoya cultured strands. An accessory statement and staple.
6.) Jeffrey Campbell Jezabel Platform A hint of Hollywood's classic Hitchcock Heroines: Tippi Hedren, Grace Kelly and Kim Novak emerge from this carefully designed pump.
7.) David Yurman Ring Turquoise is my absolute favorite accessory, which also makes for a great splash of unexpected color.
8.) Coach Madison Embossed Medium Wallet The glossy finish and boxy shape are an unbeatable blend. Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O, alike, would have easily taken to toting this decadent accessory around.

Have a great Weekend! What look will you choose?

Gucci Gardens

I find the Military trend that has of late been circulating its way through Fashion editorials, irresistible. I've seen it done spanning anywhere from grunge to adorable, effortless to high fashion. I wanted to incorporate that idea into my look. Add a hint of florals, c’est fini!

What I would fancy wearing to Paris Fashion Week, if the weather permitted.

Key influences: Military fatigues, gardens, zippers, neutrals and vivid red.

Petal pink nails in Neo Whimsical by Essie

The combination of the corset fitted dress and wrap top transported me back as early as the 16th Century, when women wore corsets regularly with every outfit.

The Little Black Dress

{Ann Taylor dress, Michele watch, Vintage cardigan, Forever 21 headband, Aldo pumps}

When I found out that Fashion Chalet was invited to join this remarkable challenge I couldn't wait to try on the dress. The Little Black Dress is an essential, classic and iconic piece for any woman's wardrobe. So much so that it has even coined the acronym, LBD.

I first wanted to pair it with ballet flats. When the dress finally arrived I realized that with its longer length hem, a heel would not only better elongate the leg but also complement the sophisticated design. Red is my favorite color to play with whenever I want to add a bit of zing to my look. Voila, the red belt.

To see this dress previously worn in 22 distinct ways, you can check them out here. And keep checking back, as this experiment runs through August 31st.

You can peruse the list of SPONSORS for The Little Black Dress Tours America to follow and fan them on Twitter and Facebook.

Enjoy 20% OFF any purchases over $100 from Ann Taylor

*DISCLOSURE: Everyone in the Little Black Dress "tour" is participating voluntarily and no one- including me- is being financially compensated for their involvement. I will note however that each blogger is being provided the Ann Taylor dress to style for her look as well as a number of gifts from tour sponsors to include in her look or review separately, during the month of August.

At the Met

This is my travel bag. Slouchy, lots of storage space and goes with almost everything.

I love to walk after I indulge on dessert. I think the second chocolate croissant with fresh whipped cream was pushing things...

Upon reaching the Met steps, I had a sudden urge to sit in the same corner, I approximated, where Blair Waldorf and her doppelgangers usually lunch on yogurt.

These are one of my favorite pair of sunglasses (Jee Vice) not too big or too round, just right.

{Marc Jacobs top, Blue Cult cut offs, Vintage cardigan, Nightingale bag, Old Navy ballet flats}

I already can't wait to come to New York again, as Thomas Wolfe was quoted: "One belongs to New York instantly, one belongs to it as much in five minutes as in five years."

Life is Dolce!

A peek at what inspired this outfit. D&G Spring/Summer 2010. Alexa Chung in the Topshop denim shirt that motivated my purchase. Burberry socks and sandals. Vampires and vintage ray bans. Saloons, the 1950's and blueberries...

Headed to New York again... I can't say why but am really excited about this!!!

Vintage Bouquet

{ James Jeans Reboot Powder, Forever 21 blouse, Gap x Pierre Hardy wedges,
Vintage buckle bag courtesy of Fashops
}

I had the most delicious pineapple mint tea today... must find the recipe!!!

The amount of stretch in these jeans is unbelievable. They are so lightweight and not starchy in any way whatsoever. I love how they melt into every flattering curve.

I was asked if my blouse was vintage. I think that's what first attracted me to the piece in the first place. It's actually Heritage 1981 by Forever 21. One of my favorite sections in the store...

I never really realize how long my hair actually is, until I see it in pictures. I'm thinking of cutting it again. I want it to be a bit "piecier" as well as a few inches shorter.

Breakfast at Starbucks

{ Alexander Wang tank, James Jeans Twiggy Karma, Pineapple oxfords, Vintage bag and sunglasses }

A closer look at my outfit below. That day was so hot. I had to eventually shed my leather jacket. I wish I could ask Alexander Wang how he makes his tops so soft...

When I walked into Starbucks to place my order, I almost gasped out loud. There was this guy in line that I swear was either really Ed Westwick (the now infamous Chuck Bass on Gossip girl) or his identical twin. Funny thing is when he placed his order he put his name down as Dan....

PS. Thanks for the Features: James Jeans and College Fashionista !!

Clock Town Tower

I had the weirdest dream last night. Olivia Palermo and I were running from deadly Vampires in an abandoned mall. I was tucked away into a cupboard while she hid behind boxes. The sinister leader of the coven tried to swipe at me, and even though I know it was just a nightmare, I can still feel the cold of his grasp on my arm.

Finishing New Moon last night might have had something to do with that?

I can't wait to crawl into bed later tonight so I can start reading Eclipse..
