Now the Future's Sorted Out

I love to go to the Gardens to breathe in the fresh air, take notes in my notebook and nosh on bright green vegetables.

Any ideas on what you'll be wearing to ring in 2010 this NYE!?

I'm not sure yet... something pretty, sparkly and grungy all in one.. maybe?

Check out my SHOP periodically, as I will continue to update with new items. All at $20-$30. Always. Let me know if there's anything you've seen in the blog, you'd like to buy. I might just add it to the Shop.

American Apparel top. Bebe leather jacket. Donni Charm scarf. Barneys CO-OP bag. Danskin leggings. Converse All Star sneakers.

Cloak Walking

Christmas Eve is regarded as the greatest Holiday among my family. We usually dress up more than we would for any other family reunion. We cook and eat plenty among music and exchanging "non-Santa" gifts. (Christmas day is all about pajamas and relaxing.) I was surprised when I was given this lovely Cape from Belgium. So French, so Fashion Week ready! I love her. I was lucky enough to capture my excitement on camera. I felt a Lost vibe off the whole shoot. So I thought only Bjork could outfit the mood perfectly. Her trance like voice and lyrics marry well with the enveloping feeling I feel in my new cloak. Necessary voodoo.

Belgium Wool Cape. American Apparel top. YSL clutch. Forever 21 necklace and gloves. Danskin leggings. Leviticus sea monster bracelet. Go Jane heels. OPI Vodka & Caviar on nails.

Coupon Code: fashionchalet will get you 25% off your next order at Leviticus Jewelry. I highly recommend the sea monster bracelet which I am wearing.

Electric Eyes 12.24'09

A mix of little wishes I'd like to find under the Christmas tree tomorrow morning and things I currently crave... shaggy (faux) furs, timeless smokey eyes, frayed denim, I don't care hair, Minnie Mouse embellishments, blazers, Minnetonkas, fringe, denim (in general), studs, Mary Kate Olsen, crosses, chains as necklaces, Givenchy, Balmain, Chanel Iman, platforms, clutches, metallic fabric, Freja Beha, New York City, leopard, rings, Balenciaga, Erin Wasson, zippers, effortless accents, fashion week, Prada bags, Grandpa sweaters, Dolce and Gabbana wedges, crystal, suede, keeping a notebook of ideas, iPod genius mixes, sunglasses and the color Red.

I first fell for the silhouette of this bag when I saw it on Ashley Olsen's arm a few years ago. Too bad Givenchy sold out faster than my eyes could even pause for a blink. Luckily, I was surprised with a lovely, nearly identical, twin. Talking about the blink of an eye, Christmas Eve is almost here. Thursday to be exact. How time flies! I spend the entire year just waiting for Thanksgiving and Christmas. My two very favorite Holidays!! What are your plans?

American Chic handbag. Juicy Couture coat. Barneys New York sweater dress. Forever 21 skinny jeans. Donni Charm scarf. Dirty Laundry boots.

First snow fall.. Dec. 18.

Missing Miami

This time last year I could wear tank tops and cut offs with sandals. I miss Miami but am excited for Snow. Will it? Rumors say maybe this weekend!! Other excitements in the air: beautiful packages on their way to me via Forever 21, Urban Outfitters and Topshop. I love goodies by mail, especially before Christmas!

Ps. I am on the hunt for the perfect black fingerless gloves. Any ideas!?

Nine West tank. diy cut offs. Bare Style knee socks. A Daisy Chain Dream Unicorn necklace. Vintage bag. Glaze sandals.

I felt the warm embrace through your comments and feedback on my Seth Cohen outfit. Thank you. ;)

Chocolate Shoppe

Last weekend we all went downtown to try this new ice cream parlour. It was 40ºF outside but inside the Shoppe was toasty and cozy. I highly recommend banana as a topping to any chocolate ice cream sundae, cone or scoop.

Last minute Holiday shopping for Mom, Aunt or a best friend who admires earrings? Check out Jewelry by LuShae.

A casual dressed down day, in what I like to call Seth Cohen wear.

Juicy hoodie. Hudson Supermodel jeans. Modcloth slam dunk Hi-Tops. Free People thermal. Vintage studded messenger bag.

Moon Stone

I was invited a few weeks ago to try Boutique by Forever 21. A new design to the Forever 21 store and collection; paralleling vintage. I'm infatuated with this sweater tunic top. Feeling like Pocahontas in the unique print and sequins; which only seemed to dazzle more in the light, I pranced by the lake. I can't wait for Spring and Summer to wear it as a dress with some funky footwear! You can check out my feature along with some other photos, bloggers and interview here.

Forever 21 tunic and skinny jeans. James Perse thermal. *Bakers booties. (*Olivia Palermo, if you're reading this, I love that we both own the same shoes. ;)_

Music gets a new face lift now with video, it seems I can only play music with video footage now!? Hope you like...
