Birthday Dinner

From the moment I put this dress on, I felt as if it had been designed with me in mind. The detailing along the seam is brilliant.

On my Birthday, last Friday, I was lucky enough to receive an invitation to a Fashion Show featuring Raleigh's local designing talent. 25 designers showcased their unique collections fused with original music from various North Carolina bands. I got to peek backstage which was also really cool. I have plenty of photographs to sift through, so be on the lookout for that really soon.

Later that evening, Alejandro and I enjoyed a lovely meal at Brio Tuscan Grille. I ordered the Sweet Potato & Chicken Risotto while he opted for the Penne Mediterranean- chock full of mushrooms, caramelized onions, feta, pine nuts and sundried tomatoes.

I already know that this scarf will find a lot of use come Fall and Winter. Both the color scheme and design have infinite mixing and matching possibilities.

Olivia Palermo at Ports 1961

{Backstage at Ports 1961}

I have been a fan of Olivia Palermo and her singular style for as long as I can remember. Her nails are always properly polished, her hair perfectly coiffed. Her shoe collection is equally enviable. Olivia's personality is just as sparkling in person. I was happy to hit things off so well with the modern Audrey Hepburn herself.

I love her new hair. She debuted it at Ports 1961.

PS. Congrats to The Jazzy Belle, winner of the Capezio Ballet flats giveaway courtesy of La Dama!

Ports 1961 SS 2011

In her 2011 SS assemblage, Fiona Cibani impeccably captured air, sea and sand at its most luxurious. The ethereal collection was brimming with jewel tones. The distinct draping merged flawlessly with the soft silhouettes and iridescent accessories. Silks, cottons and linens highlighted an alluring picture of Summer in the Sahara.
