A Bohemian Princess for Halloween

In the spirit of the holiday, I started my morning with chocolate brownie moisturizing shampoo. And instantly began the day after a homemade cinnamon latte, with mocha mixed in.

Thinking of Halloweens past, I remember when I was Little Red Riding Hood in the 4th grade. Minnie Mouse in the 5th grade (my little brother was Mickey!) And my favorite, a Ballerina Princess (tiara, tutu, wand and all) when I was 6 years old. I thought it fit to have a Princess theme tied in with Bohemia and my ever present favorite, Pocahontas, for this year.

Happy Halloween! Have fun. Be safe! Trick or treat; hope you get something good to eat. ;) I have a dinner party to attend. Until next time, Ciao! my lovelies....

Balmain, my love!

Test driving my new suede booties. I have a feeling these babies are going to come in handy, come the cooler weather. I slip in and out of them like butter. They could not have been designed any better. I love their fit, look and comfort. Almost cuter than the real ones (I like the heel on these much more, than on the originals.) Thank you, Bakers, for replicating the Balmain delight and satisfying our palate!

BECOMING JANE dress

I thought today would be a fun day to bring out this dress again. For the new readers, these boots were also worn here. This morning, when my alarm woke me up, I grabbed for my Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen book, Influence, instead of crawling out of bed. I dove right back in to read, browse and be in awe just a little. Which cover did you get? I got Ashley.

Guess what? In other fun news, Lucky magazine has teamed up with The Supermelon to choose their own winners, completely separate from Lucky's finalists. Enter now for your chance to win one of three gift bags ($250 value). TSM will announce the winners sometime after Nov. 4. Read for more information on how to enter and win here.

Romper Room!

As I upload this particular set, I loll about in my romper listening to Devendra Banhart. The album? Smokey Rolls down Thunder Mountain. I am lazy this Monday morning, sipping on hot cocoa and wondering what color to paint my nails next. Well, I'm off. Have a great Monday, lovers!

Zippora Seven, please.

This girl is as alluring as she is elusive. Deemed the Kate Moss of New Zealand, I find her fresh faced beauty something not to be ignored. She first caught my attention whilst in the pages of Australian magazine, Russh. Staggering between 5'3" and 5'4" she leans towards editorials because of the unfortunate catwalk height requirements. Nonetheless, her editorials are nothing of a disappointment, if anything they are the threshold of inspiration! She reminds me of a mix between a Topshop girl and an Urban Outfitters model.

Cause I'm high enough from all the waiting...

With two new pairs of boots on the way, by mail, I'm high enough from all the waiting... I know, I have a serious shoe problem. But hey, why not indulge every now and again? I'm excited to showcase them on the blog, both so very perfect for Fall. More boots, scarves, sweaters and denim to come as I make the transition from a sauna-like summer to a cool-enough-to-wear-heavy-knits winter.

For those of you who loved these american apparel shorts last time, you can see them again in black, here.

And while you're at it, don't forget to check this very glamorous, very luxurious video (about Westfield Shopping Centre, UK).

Statues Crumble for me

Thank you, Karyn at Alias denim, for the wonderful pair of jeans. As an avid denim collector, I was quite pleased to receive this pair in the mail. The fit, wash and feel are perfect. And to think they retail for only $40? After paying hundreds of dollars on premium denim, for their quality and fit, both Alias denim and I didn't like what it was doing to our bank accounts. Luckily, they decided to take the matter into their own hands to create something equally stylish yet budget friendly; and that is how Alias premium denim came to be.

Vote for me in Lucky mag's contest?

90210 Madness

Hey, you guys! I promise to get back to all of your comments from my previous post as soon as possible. What a marvelous surprise, getting so many wonderful amounts of feedback from all of you. Can't wait to reply back! I was out of town for most of the weekend, visiting with family, but I'm back now. Ohhh and I scored two of the coolest pairs of boots I could ever hope to find (can't wait to showcase them in the blog, soon!)

In the meantime, I hope you like the 90210 muse board I made for you. My latest obsession. I actually just started watching it, via iTunes last week and became instantly hooked. I've only gotten up to episode 4; "The Bubble," but nevertheless, liking it more and more with every episode. I can't decide if I like it even more than Gossip girl? My favorite characters are Naomi Clark (deliciously evil) and Ethan Ward (just plain delicious!) I can't forget to mention Jessica Stroup, "Silver" who has as much an affinity for knee socks as I do and I wish I had her steel blue eyes.

Bohemian Like You

Feeling in a Bohemian mood, I turned to my brown 3-layer fringed Minnetonka boots. I'm sure many of you remember this dress. I thought the pop of color would complement the boots well. A few golden accents, and voila! instant frivolity.

On a side note, when you get the chance, I highly recommend checking out The Supermelon. They have recently updated their look, Bookshelf, & Have a Fresh Talk with Jack Siegel, along with the addition of a forum.

Have a fabulous TGIF and weekend, lovelies! Ciao!

My Little One Piece Wonder

Whenever it's rainy, dark or dreary, I always pull for a fun ensemble to help fill the day with a little more cheer. I opted for this adorable romper I scored at a secondhand shop a few weeks back. I love that it's a little longer than the typical rompers seen out there. The print as well as the waist cloth belt make me love it that much more. Thankfully, I remembered my grandmother's gift, these sandals, to finish off the look. My Little Pony princess, Rainbow Dash, came along for the ride.

a Splash of Thanks!

Daisy Bella, I was as pleased as a peach after receiving your scrumptious goodies in the mail (and Audrey-to boot!) Thank you for the warm gifts and equally kind card, my dear. You know how to make me smile.

Daryl Hannah single handedly turned the t-shirt dress into an idea that truly worked. In Splash, also featuring Tom Hanks, Daryl manages to bring the mythical mermaid to life; a very stylish one at that! This 1984 classic still remains a favorite. Where is Bloomingdales?

I want to say a GINORMOUS (meaning: really, really big!) thanks to all of my readers. I certainly do enjoy receiving your commentaries and wonderful feedback, as well as viewing each and every one of your blogs. It's almost like being welcomed with open arms to a very large (and very fashion forward!) family. Thank you.

Rapunzel, let down your hair

Tonight I think I'll be staying here. And you never did like this town. I talk out loud like you're still around. No. No. And I miss you. Going back home to the West Coast. I wish you would've put yourself in my suitcase... --Coconut Records

Olsen Obsession

So lucky, lucky. So lovely, lovely.

From Balenciaga to Chloe, these twins have got it all. Starting out their career as little Michelle Tanner on the family sitcom (of the late 80's early 90's) Full House. These two have quickly built their own empire. Not to mention their own sense of style that is one hundred and twenty percent rocking. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen certainly do reign!

Just like Marissa Cooper, I love my Share Bear ♥

She'll watch over you with her Care Bear stare! - Seth Cohen.

We're still in summer(y) mode here in Sunny Miami. Although, we are starting to get cool gentle breezes in the evening. I am taking full advantage of wearing thin cotton and leg baring frocks while I still can... before mid-November, when the brisk weather officially hits. I am aggressively at work unpacking and organizing myself into the new place and closet space. I hope to take photos when all is said and done. Hopefully you are all having a glorious Wednesday!

On a Whimsical Whim via a Vintage Dress!!

Fly me to the moon. Let me play among the stars. Let me see what Spring is like on Jupiter and Mars. In other words, hold my hand. Ohhh. In other words, darling, kiss me. Fill my heart with song. And let me sing forever more. You are all I long for. All I worship and adore. In other words, please be true. In other words, I love you. (lyricsfreak.com: Dinah Washington)

From Russia: With Love!

Model, Mother, Wife and Inspiration. This remarkable 26 year old supermodel hails from Russia. Struggling through tough times for most of her childhood, Natalia and her family used to sell fruit as the family income. Natalia Vodianova is as strong as she is beautiful. The word that comes to mind when describing her attributes? Ethereal. She was my first (model) girl crush. With those baby blues and beautiful bronze glow, she's a doll come to life straight out of a storybook.

How Do You Do?

I ask this, in my best Audrey voice.

Breakfast at Tiffanys, Roman Holiday, Sabrina, and Funny Face. What do these all have in common? Why the compelling and always charming Audrey Hepburn, of course. Her romances, her magnetism, her lovely clothing, her stance; all the things I wish to acquire myself. Someday....
