Inspired by the Upper East Side and Burberry, I styled this Winter-ready outfit in under 10 minutes. My favorite part was combining the variety of unexpected textures together. I adore the sun-reflecting gold sequins of my new Alice+Olivia blouse as well as the gold hardware on both my cape and bag. When it's cold enough to freeze your toes outside, gold accents have a way of warming your smile.

Cloak Walking

Christmas Eve is regarded as the greatest Holiday among my family. We usually dress up more than we would for any other family reunion. We cook and eat plenty among music and exchanging "non-Santa" gifts. (Christmas day is all about pajamas and relaxing.) I was surprised when I was given this lovely Cape from Belgium. So French, so Fashion Week ready! I love her. I was lucky enough to capture my excitement on camera. I felt a Lost vibe off the whole shoot. So I thought only Bjork could outfit the mood perfectly. Her trance like voice and lyrics marry well with the enveloping feeling I feel in my new cloak. Necessary voodoo.

Sequins and Champagne! NYE '08

I spent the last day of 2008 watching the Dark Knight, drinking champagne and enjoying a lovely meal of Lobster tails, grilled veggies and 3 desserts. Cherry strudel. Carrot cake. And Key lime pie! Not to mention strutting around in my freshly arrived sequined leggings from Express and my favorite Givenchy look alike birdcage heels. I was almost too sleepy to stay up. After the movie and dinner, we went to see the Fireworks display. Always an awesome experience. I hope you rang in the new year right. Once again, a hundred percent of thanks goes out to my little brother who took these snazzy photographs. I love you! ♥
