Dreaming Out Loud

Alexander Wang Tank. H&M blazer. Vintage scarf & rings. Topshop skinny jeans. Pineapple oxford flats. Nightingale bag. OPI nails in Vodka & Caviar.

While I was in New York earlier this month, I had the opportunity to meet Street Style Photographer, Jason from Citizen Couture. He found this great location for a spur-of-the-moment shoot that was so serenely quiet I almost had to ask myself if I was still in the City. You can check out his website for more images of my shoot and his esteemed work here.

Leap of Faith

Isabella Oliver 365 bustier dress. Scarf and Cuff courtesy of LOFT. Classic platform pumps from Aldo shoes. Jee Vice sunglasses.

How was your Sunday? I hope it went well. I celebrated Easter with my family. Holiday reunions usually mean gossip, laughter, and food. We also made sure to pray for those in need and thanks for our blessings.

I ate so much this weekend. That vanilla cake I made in the post below? Well, I alone consumed 40% of it, along with 3 frosted cupcakes. Talk about cake crazy! I also tackled a homemade cheesecake and strawberry pie.

Now the Future's Sorted Out

I love to go to the Gardens to breathe in the fresh air, take notes in my notebook and nosh on bright green vegetables.

Any ideas on what you'll be wearing to ring in 2010 this NYE!?

I'm not sure yet... something pretty, sparkly and grungy all in one.. maybe?

Check out my SHOP periodically, as I will continue to update with new items. All at $20-$30. Always. Let me know if there's anything you've seen in the blog, you'd like to buy. I might just add it to the Shop.

Lavender Flowers

One of the things I will miss most about Miami and Florida is... the notion of flowers; year round, especially lavender flowers. But, where I am moving to next... will give me a taste of actual seasons. I've always been a fan of boots, sweaters and outerwear. Before, I could only dream about what it must be like to actually get the chance to dress this way for more than a few days out of the year. Here, you're actually sweating in them under the hot Miami sun, begging for thin pieces of breathable cotton in their place...

Did you know that there is a Wikifashion? Check out my page here.

Sweetees top. Forever 21 scarf. Superfine skinny jeans. Go Jane heels. Vintage clutch.

The Little Black body con Motel Dress

I don't mind how cheesy the song sounds, I still can't help but to find it irresistible. It's from Music and Lyrics starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. I adore the song in a cheesy-feel-good kinda way. ;)

The dress is thanks to my friends over at Motel again. This one has a slight body con fit and a lace detailed back. The perfect piece for layering many times in many different ways. Wore it in this subdued manner for a luncheon I went to last Sunday afternoon. I felt the simple gray-blue touches, with the scarf and clutch, did it justice in the color department but still kept things classic.

Lately on my mind I've had: Megan Fox, Baked Lays potato chips, leather jackets and Arrowhead bottled water. (Does Miami carry Arrowhead bottled water?? And where??) I guess you could say those are my current obsessions.....
