" NEW IN " Rag & Bone + SJP and Hepburn

Fashion Box Coffee Table Book

Isn't this cropped sweater from Rag & Bone a cheery Holiday red? I can't wait to wear it. My new Fashion coffee table book is already decorating my bookshelf. A fun read (and how could it not be?) with Sarah Jessica Parker and Audrey Hepburn both, on the cover. My two muses: both different, both stylish. A balance of my two favorite kinds of Fashion: edgy/unexpected and classic/sophistication.

This is undoubtedly my favorite time of year. Baking desserts, Holiday shopping, inventing Christmas Cocoa concoctions and savoring this wonderful feeling. I've already downloaded about 3 albums worth of Christmas music from iTunes too! ;)

I can't believe it's already Thursday! And that next week is Thanksgiving! Can you?

Autumn Orange

How was your weekend? I hope great. It's become quite a tradition among the women in my family that Sunday is the day the men cook, not the women. So keeping with tradition, the men made a barbecue and the women relaxed. Afterward, we spent the afternoon scouring for Sweety's favorite pet store, Pet Supermarket; which for some reason doesn't seem to be around here. Luckily, we came across Petco which conveniently carries her favorite brand of pet food and treats. I've also recently become acquainted with Redbox, a movie rental service akin to a candy vending machine. 1 movie for $1 per day. In Florida, we used to rent all of the latest releases from the local library for free. That isn't the case in North Carolina, I guess reading is more standard than renting movies? The cold does that to you I guess.

Cranberry Dreams

Well, we're here. We finally made it, to North Carolina; after a 14 hour long drive that started at 4am the same day.. talk about cabin fever... I think it best to sum up the entire destination in tidy paragraph form...

1st stop: for gasoline and the human equivalent in caffeine... later, stopped at McDonalds to nosh on an Egg McMuffin with more coffee.. Sweety begged for some pieces of my ham. The rest of the trip was filled with ooh-ing and aah-ing over the subtle change in landscape; the closer we got to leaving Florida, the more hills, full trees and vacant lots of land we saw. We also stopped at Chik-fil-A to lunch on their classic chicken sandwiches and new delight; the Peach Milk Shake. (oh my Gosh, it's delicious!) Picked up a couple of magazines, Nylon with Megan Fox on the cover (and a Julian Casablancas interview inside yesssss!), People Style and a few Us Weeklies to entertain myself with. iPod was charged and raring to go with my current favorite playlists and applications. Dinner stop was fast food (yet again) this time, Burger King for more chicken sandwiches, fries and Dutch apple pie. By the time we arrived, I was too tired to do anything else but drop into bed. I woke up to a chilly cold front of 49º weather, right now in Miami it's nearly 90º- although I miss it, I'm enjoying the new changes as I would a vacation.

last November

These photos are from last year and I totally forgot to post them, until now. Was " cleaning " my computer when I came across them in a folder. I love those fingerless gloves. I got those studded babies just after I saw Silver on 90210 sporting the exact same ones here.

There is some news and changes in store for Fashion Chalet. It's time for me to say goodbye to Miami.... I shall be in a brand new City just before Halloween. Keep checking back for more clues, details, and Fall fashions soon! ;)

The boots! from fashion chalet on Vimeo.

dress: Lacoste.
headband: Urban.

boots: go jane.

In an attempt to accept that Winter just isn't here yet, I settled on donning my Lacoste sweater dress sans tights or leggings. And instead, decided on the debuting of my new lace up booties that I just can't seem to get enough of. Thank you, knightcat! The double braided headband from Urban Outfitters was the icing on my cake. Hope you're all having a fantastic TGIF day, my lovelies.
