I'm definitely not a big drinker (as in alcohol) I prefer refreshing cups of tea or steaming mugs of coffee instead. What do you usually order when you make your early morning or evening coffee/tea run? I'm partial to anything mocha, vanilla or cinnamon; when it comes to coffee that is. As far as Tea is concerned, I like Chai, Green and Earl Grey.. :)

I always travel light when it comes to makeup. On my recent trip to New York, I consolidated the main products I use into one small makeup case. What I realized is that I don't use or need very much. I do make sure to have powdered foundation on hand, to even out skin tone. Eyeliner: liquid or the smudgy stick kind. A variety of lipsticks (preferably in bright pinks or reds). And, a small can of dry hair shampoo can come in mighty handy.

Coca Cola, Color Blocking and Harry Potter?

What do these things have in common? You must be asking yourselves that right now. Well, I just saw the final installment of the Harry Potter series today. I dressed up in exuberantly bright colors (to counteract my sadness over this finally coming to an end.) I cry at commercials, mind you. I came deftly prepared, with tissues and dark sunglasses. The latter, especially, came in handy once exiting the theatre. No one was the wiser.



So, here I am, color blocking once again. I tend to keep a small percentage of my look neutral, when color blocking. [See shoes.] Otherwise, it's an explosion of bright color, which I blissfully wore to see the film in. As for the soda, I like to drink caffeine to stay alert and on top of every word. Plus, it's also fun collecting glass Coca Cola bottles.



I loved the movie. And find that it ended exactly the way it needed to. And, closing with John Williams's infamous theme no less.If you haven't seen it yet.. go, go, go! It might be your last chance to catch this epic magic on screen... My favorite character this time around? Neville Longbottom.

Neon Pink and Sequins

This neon green sequined blouse, believe it or not, was my Grandmother's in the 70's. I revamped it by taking out the buttons and turning it into a loose fitting jacket. Perfect for tucking into pants. The sequins shimmer in the sunlight as if by magic. So here I am, once again playing with brights and color blocking. I threw in a few splashes of pink for fun. How do you like this casual outfit of the day?

Yesterday I went bowling with my brother and Alex with my mind set on winning. Mind you, it's been over a year since I've played. I didn't win, but came in second. Not bad, since the last time I played any kind of bowling was on my iPad... and how cute are the bowling shoes? My brother even commented how they weren't much different from the shoes I walked in with, Chuck Taylor Converse. For the win!

Pinks and Knits! Excuse my posting more photos than the norm. I was so excited to wear my Louboutins for the first time yesterday, I ended up playing in front of the camera for longer than usual. These were taken after a congratulatory lunch date. I landed a part-time gig writing for a local paper and wanted to celebrate in my new shoes. Do you like the way I mixed in a slouchy knit with pink jeans?

Covergirl Fairytale

I detest going to to grocery store unless it's in preparation for a party or a fun meal I can't wait to make. Otherwise, it's simply a chore. I tend to treat myself at the market... to fruit, to celebrity gossip filled tabloids or.... cosmetics! This is my latest find. Cover Girl Lip Perfection Lipstick in a slightly peachy pink shade. Aptly titled Fairy Tale. For just under $7 you can treat your lips to a flattering blast of color this summer, one that moisturizes too. I just had to share... Happy Easter!

Pretty Birds... (Have Pretty Feathers)

Excuse the mess in my walk-in, please, as I am in the midst of a move. Hence the cumbersome assortment of miscellaneous piles and boxes strewn about the room. I am reeling with excitement for the new, larger walk-in that awaits me, though. As for my collection? Varying from ankle-high to knee-high, I'm beginning to think it borders on obsession. (Twelve?) pairs... and counting. Hmmm... I wonder how many Kate Moss has? I have seen her in quite a few pairs as well.

"Summer Sun, Winter Wind."

As we begin the transition from sunny weather to cooler conditions, I came up with this Collage that incorporated a little bit of both. The shift shall be fun. Let the shedding of cotton jumpers begin, in turn being replaced by chunkier knits. With inspirations deriving from all sides of the spectrum; loose fabrics, bright pops of color and fringe details done up in suede, effortless chic never looked so good. When in doubt? Layer, layer, layer. Rules are made to be broken. Mix Summer with Fall, Winter with Spring. This Season will be all about inventing, experimenting and finding new ways to wear old pieces you once loved and have since forgotten in the back of your closet. There is no wrong, as long as you put your whole self into it. Looking forward to seeing everyone else's ideas. It doesn't get "cold" here, per se, until mid December, sometimes. Wah!
