Since yesterday was my day off, I dressed in neutral blues and kept things casual in skinny jeans and alpargatas. I ran a few errands and then stopped by my local Borders to check out the sales, unfortunately all the good stuff was already gone. It makes me sad to see Borders go out of business. That was always my favorite bookstore, aside from Waldenbooks.

The Relic, Butter Neon nail polish

Lately, I've been reading a lot of mysteries and semi-horror books. Just finished The Relic. I had never read it before and thoroughly enjoyed every twist and turn and dark shadow lurking behind every corner. I've also taken to watching Mysteries on TV. See: Monk, X-Files and Alfred Hitchcock.

As a special Readers Request, I've compiled my Top 25 iTunes Summer Playlist. Some of you may already follow my "Now Playing" tweets on Twitter. Many of the songs I listen to play a large role in what I wear on the blog. Music is a huge inspiration to me, and I work better with it. I'm also guilty of using the "Repeat ON" function. Sometimes a certain song gets me in just the right zone and state of mind. I rarely use the Shuffle mode.. unless I'm working out.

Neon Orange on July 4th!

Neon nails? Check. Neon bag? Check. Sparklers, cherry pie and a barbecue? Check, check, check! It's 4th of July here today and we love to celebrate with fireworks and food. The only drawback? It's always so gosh darn hot! Today also marks our kitten Scout's first birthday.

Neon Cambridge Leather Satchel

Well.. I'm back from L.A. jet lag and all! I didn't sleep much last night due to the time change, excitement and having to wake up so early (even the ghosts and goblins were still asleep) just to catch my flight back. I broke my nail on set (not so great) I painted my nails neon yellow again and I met one of my very favorite celebrities. (He's as sweet in person as he is cute!) :D

All in all an exhilarating 48 hours spent. I can't wait to go back to L.A. again, soon!! I brought home with me a souvenir. How do you like my new neon bag? It was a present on set. I'm planning to wear her tomorrow for 4th of July's festivities. What are your plans?
