Cycling Shorts

What are you all planning for the long Holiday weekend? I will be baking a big vanilla cake and topping it off with vanilla frosting and pastel sprinkles. Attempting a banana cream pie. And cooking up a storm of rice, ham and potato salad. I hope to take some pictures of all the food.



I finished reading Catalyst by Laurie Halse Anderson last night. If it were ever made into a movie I can easily envision Kate Bosworth in the lead role. If you have read the book, tell me who you think should play Kate Malone. What about Teri Litch? Mitchell Pangorn? Reverend Malone?

Took these in the park about a week or so ago. Was interrupted mid-shoot by a Park Ranger (in his twenties) who told us we needed a Permit to take pictures in the park? And that what I was wearing was inappropriate? As Cher Horowitz would say, "As If!" Found out later we don't even need a Permit. Who does that?

Happy Twenty Ten! How was your New Year's Eve spent? I was invited to a little Dinner party last minute, which meant a chance to dress up one very last time in 2009. I ate shrimp Creole, played Are You Smarter than a 5th grader? and rang in 2010 right: with lace, Balenciaga, 12 grapes and champagne! Thanks to Karen & Diana for scoring my new shoes all the way from New York City for me! ;) Nicolas Ghesquière is one of my favorite people; as is Mary-Kate Olsen, thus these being my new favorite shoes!

Wore this cute little number out for lunch yesterday at Miami eatery, Tiramesu. If you like Italian cuisine, then this is the place to be; located on Lincoln Rd. I chose the jumper two sizes up, on purpose; for the baggier, slouchier, fit. I'm over the moon with my Foley + Corinna leather bag in delectable eggplant. Thanks to the wonderful Shop Therapy contest, I was able to win this magnificent handbag. The leather is incredibly supple. You guys are amazing. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm also extremely thrilled with my new Oxford studded booties, courtesy of Newport News. I love you guys!! My brother was in town for the day, thus the outdoor shots this time around. Very exciting stuff. I had a blast pairing the minidress with knee socks, a la Silver.
