Before Summer fully sets in, I wanted to take advantage of the somewhat misty and slightly rainy afternoons by donning my parka once more.. I am partial to wearing colors that match nature's seasons. I have a thing for hunter green. I opted to throw on the faux fur vest at the last minute. And these boots haven't seen the light of day in a while. They're terribly tall but oh so fun to wear. And they're comfortable, too! :)

I hope your Friday is off to a great start. Have a lovely Mother's Day weekend! :)

Me, Muchacha

I felt like a French school girl wearing this the other day. I was instantly drawn to my Parka upon waking up, wanting to work it in somehow for a pre-Spring look. It's been a lot colder and harder to pull looks together here versus when I was in Miami, but I welcome the challenge. Thankfully, for every few days of cold... one warm one pops out to play. What are you most excited for come Spring? For me it's shorts (lots and lots of them) floral prints, skirts, mini dresses and hats. I also want to get back into sandals and flats. It's been a while...

Banana Pancakes

It was so cold the day I took these photos. Supposedly this is the coldest Winter North Carolina has had in a while. I was silly to forget my gloves. The soft, cashmere snood (a scarf/hood hybrid) from Le Col kept my neck nice and toasty. I was excited to learn that Anna Wintour has one too. Finding the perfect Parka had been on my mind for the longest time. I found this one by chance in Forever 21, the absolute very last one and in my size, while Christmas shopping. And finally, the debut of the other Balenciagas I recently scored along with the sandals in my previous post. These are the platform loafers I have coveted since 2007. I've seen both Vanessa Traina and Ashley Olsen (two choice tastemakers) donning them in this particular color before, too.

Forever 21 parka, fur and studded rings, Le Col snood, Vintage watch, AA raglan, Superfine skinny jeans, Nightingale bag, Balenciaga suede platform loafers, eBay wolf and evil eye rings.
