Remember this beautiful Red Armani Exchange maxi dress I wore before here? Today's post is a short clip showcasing the same outfit in motion. I hope you like it.
I feel fabulous in this dress. The color is flattering and the silhouette so feminine. I want to run barefoot in a field of flowers, with braids in my hair. My favorite part about being a girl, is how many styles we can choose to wear. This dress fits neatly into my feminine mode. I hope to attend a few parties this Summer in my new red dress. Of course, since the dress is the main focus of this look, I wanted the surrounding pieces to remain classic and simple. Whenever I dress this way, I can't help but think Audrey Hepburn would approve. "Less is more." She was never one for ostentatiousness. Thus, all I needed were sunglasses, black heels, a silver watch and a black bag to match.
What do you think of the way I chose to style this pretty little red maxi dress from Armani Exchange?
While wearing this Armani Exchange ensemble, I felt positively parisian (and chic!) I wanted to meander through a field of flowers in the south of France. Sip cafe lattes with a friend... while people watching. I couldn't help feeling a tiny bit like Audrey Hepburn in this dress, which I'm sure to wear again, very soon. The delicate fabric of both the dress and blazer will easily lend themselves to summer soiree dressing. While this outfit makes for the perfect Sunday afternoon "look" it also works for, well, work. Classic staples never fail. At first glance, my Mom fell in love with the blazer. As did I. The simple tie belt at the waist of the dress adds a slight whimsical feel. I decided to keep my sandals and bag simple. I felt the dress needed to stand on its own. What do you think about the pieces from Armani Exchange and the way I chose to style them for Spring?

This sequin blazer from Armani Exchange is made up of primarily dark, glittering sequins. I wanted to add even more shine to the overall look by layering different colored sequins. The Holidays is a time of year when you can get away with more costumey pieces... other than, say, at Fashion Week. That's when I pounced on this little black dress. The entire skirt is adorned in gold, mirrored sequins and seemed to be the missing puzzle piece I needed. The sequined blazer and little black dress just seemed to marry well. As for the footwear? I nearly forgot about these suede platform wedges until I spotted them, way in the back of my wardrobe, smiling at me. Yearning to be worn again. The gold sequin clutch, the last dusting of shine. Going bare legged in this minidress is something I won't get to do much of once Christmas gets closer, tights will become a must with any short dress. Luckily, this mid-November weather is refreshing and not freezing ...not yet, anyway.
What do you think about the idea of layering sequins this Holiday season?
Finally, the debut of two new items I've been excited to wear. My red Rag & Bone cropped sweater and these chunky, Topshop ankle boots. To answer a few questions I received on Facebook and Twitter (they are tremendously comfortable) and fit much better than the Acne pistol boots. I tried those on in New York, unfortunately they pinched my toes. These boots from Topshop fit like a dream.
I'm infatuated with this motorcycle jacket with its amazing woven detail on the shoulders and sleeves. Easily reminiscent of the early nineties and modern day Balmain. I can imagine supermodel, Freja Beha all over this jacket.
By the way, I may be clearing out some shoes from my closet (size 8/8.5 US) let me know if you're interested? :)
These metallic snakeskin print jeans from Armani Exchange are perfect for the Holiday season. I can already envision myself pairing them with chunky sweaters at Dinner parties and with wool coats and blazers in February for New York Fashion Week. Inspired by both the change of weather and Olivia Palermo, I decided to pair these pretty pants with a faux fur vest and black blouse. The patent pointy toe Stella McCartney sling-backs are not only comfortable but complementing. The only pop of color necessary? Red... on my lips and on my iPad case (which conveniently doubles as a clutch bag).
