Something Blue

Vintage coat and dress. Heels from Miami. Vintage and Forever 21 rings. Urban Outfitters beret.

This was inspired by Carrie Bradshaw during her short stint in Paris. You know that final, majestic sixth season of Sex and The City? Influence by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen is a must read, when I first bought it, and still today.

Kicking back on Sunday with Lanvin and the Oscars

Before, one could only imagine the outcome of creativity if Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile and Pocahontas were BFF's and swapped wardrobes. Well now, you can see it and this is exactly what it would look like: furs, feathers, black fringe, tribal jewelry and pleated metallics. Lanvin took my breath away. Well done, Alber Elbaz!

Paris Fashion Week really won me over this Season.

Famous faces:
Magdalena Frackowiak, Freja Beha Erichsen, Anna Selezneva and Natasha Poly.

Can anyone identify the model on the far left?

Other noteworthy collections:
Christian Dior (Think: Newsies meets high-end, yet old fashioned, Circus glamour.) Isabel Marant (Sandy, from Grease, would so wear this. 50's and 60's chic to the max!) Gareth Pugh (beetle shaped capes and Space traveling-ready boots.) Nina Ricci (brought Old Hollywood Glamour back, in the form of body hugging knee length tea dresses, lace and pops of happy color.) Dries Van Noten (Think: Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller, with a tinge of Back to the Future / 80's cool!) And we can't forget about Balmain - Equal parts trendsetting and a flashback to 1970's: Disco glam.

Who saw Alice in Wonderland over the weekend? Thoughts? Likes/dislikes? I usually wait for the crowds to dissipate before attempting to view a feature film... I like it quiet and empty.

Ps. What is/was your favorite dress from The Oscars last night? I absolutely loved Sarah Jessica Parker's hair.

And, a food snap. For those of you who requested more of them.

A typical breakfast of biscuits with strawberry jam, banana and mocha coffee (made by moi!)

Black Orchid Balloons

Revolve Clothing houses so many of my favorite labels and opens a window of inspiration with just one click of my mouse. When I first heard that they were fans of my blog, I was left completely flattered. I'm a fan of the way they piece the clothing on their site into bona fide exciting wear. Check out my Interview here.

Alexander Wang Tank. BB Dakota skirt. House of Harlow Thin Stack Ring in Rose Gold. Dolce cardigan. Aldo platform pumps.

At first I felt daunted with the task of picking out some items to model on my blog. So many designers, collections and just plain cool pieces. It was so hard to choose! I finally sought some help from my friend and fellow shopping enthusiast Stephanie. Two heads are better than one. She single handedly picked out the skirt I'm wearing, saying it reminded her of what "the leggy twenty somethings would wear" such as Whitney Port, Olivia Palermo, Alexa Chung (and myself.) With its exposed zipper set in pretty peach and deep plum tiered layers, I fell head over heels. To add to the lot, I opted for a delicately soft Alexander Wang racer back tank in gray (Stephanie has one too) and a new piece of jewelry, in the form of a delicate ring by Nicole Richie. I also picked out a MINK PINK sleeveless chambray dress. I hope the sun comes out to play soon, I cannot wait to bask in the Vitamin-D enriched light with it on this Spring!

Ps. Thanks for the sweet Interview and Feature, Tiffany!
