La fiesta parisina de la Alta Costura no solo ha sido una muestra de maestría de por parte de Giambattista Valli, Chanel o Christian Dior, entre otros miembros del selecto grupo de diseñadores reconocidos por la Federación Francesa de Alta Costura. Durante toda la semana los front row se han visto envueltos del glamour de sus invitadas más mediáticas. Olivia Palermo, Diane Kruger, Anna Dello Ruso o Elena Perninova, entre otras celebrities, no quisieron perderse las creaciones más exquisitas para el próximo invierno.

I had a blast from the past trying on vintage pieces at Adore Boutique for my next photo shoot. I'm actually collaborating with the local magazine on a few articles that integrate my photo shoots. More to come on that soon. What do you think of this bright yellow pencil skirt? I think it's the cat's pajamas. I was able to spot it amid a rack of vintage garments because of its vibrant hue. It's a genuine Thierry Mugler from Paris in the eighties. The blazer, also from the eighties, came home with me too.

Here's a really quick outfit post. I took these in between photo shoots. I've been as busy as a bee this week. Which can only mean good things. I can't wait to share the information soon. In the meanwhile, hope you enjoy this new look. As for me, I'm off to work (photos and interviews included!) I can't complain. I love my job! ❤ And I love you guys!! Kicking back on Sunday with Lanvin and the Oscars

Before, one could only imagine the outcome of creativity if Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile and Pocahontas were BFF's and swapped wardrobes. Well now, you can see it and this is exactly what it would look like: furs, feathers, black fringe, tribal jewelry and pleated metallics. Lanvin took my breath away. Well done, Alber Elbaz!


Paris Fashion Week really won me over this Season.

Pain au Chocolat

Whenever I immerse myself in Chanel, a beret or in decadent perfume; I feel a need for some pain au chocolate (chocolate pastries) while strolling the streets of Paris. One of the necklaces I am wearing, the one with the black satin bow, is from the house of Lanvin and one of my most prized possessions.

On another note, I'm thrilled to share news of a brand new Ice Skating rink opening in Raleigh, one to rival the Ice Rink at Rockefeller Center in New York City. I'm a dancer and skater at heart, so this news greatly excites me!! One step closer, Lissa. Now, if only I had access to the Met steps, too. ;)

Balmain in Paris '09... left me completely breathless.... again!

Space age chic. Star Wars reminiscent; Princess Leia would so wear all of it. The pinched up, pointy shoulder pads have such a Star Trek feel to them. The over the top (or is it?) sparkle and glitter of the sequins leave me in love yet again!! And what can I say about those chunkified moon boots? Part Marc Jacobs, part Ski Resort and a teeny tiny part Napoleon Dynamite (in a good way!)

Christophe Decarnin, fresh from a decade's work at Paco Rabanne, has brought Balmain to a whole new level. During last year's collections I was rendered speechless over the Minnetonka-esque heeled booties (thank you Bakers, for making sufficient knock offs!)



Almost as much as the clothing, I was left in lust over the model lineup; Anja Rubik, Anna Selezneva, Carmen Kass, Elena Melnik, Isabeli Fontana, Kim Noorda, Lily Donaldson, Lara Stone, Magdalena Frackowiak, Natasha Poly, Karmen Pedaru, Sasha Pivovarova, Erin Wasson and Raquel Zimmerman to name a few, and all in one show. I could not have hand selected a better assortment than these lovely ladies to don Balmain a/w 09!

Dear: Christophe Decarnin,

I reiterate. I love you and your genius ways. From the Harem balloon pants and rocker leather shrunken jackets to the street style skeleton tee-shirts and leopard print body con dresses; I am forever humbled in your presence.

PS: The Balmain blue dazzles like champagne. Thanks for making my dreams all fizzy and wonderful.
