Another Skirt

Met up with my friend Caroline again. She loaned me a ton of Fashion books and I gave her an enormous bag of clothes. I also shot her next outfit blog post. Can't wait to see what she posts..

I know Summer is officially here when I get to trade in my usual "hang around the house" sweatpants and slippers for shorts and flip flops. There's something about the sunshine that makes me smile. Seeing the blue skies... just feels right. Summer means leg-baring shorts and skirts and really cute sandals. Happy Friday, darlings! :)

Little Blue Dress

Akira Black Label dress, Vintage bag, L.A.M.B. sandals, Nars lipstick in Schiap

This blue bubble dress brought out the girly girl in me. I can easily imagine both Lauren Conrad and Alexis Bledel wearing it. It would make for a beautiful Birthday dinner dress or to attend Fashion Week in September with. It also brought out my L.A.M.B. sandals again. I love their simple design so much, and that they're black. I'm actually on the hunt for something similar, in a strappy, brown style now. Happy Tuesday!!

Color Blocking

Report sandals

It may be cloudy outside with a forecast for rain... but I won't let that dampen my mood. No, I found these sandals in the back of my closet and they instantly brightened my mood. If it does decide to pour, I'll simply hole myself inside with a bowl of Won-Ton soup, Netflix stocked with rain-friendly films, and peruse Paris Vogue and Elle.

How has your week been so far? I hope it's been great. I finally sat down and watched Despicable Me last night. Can I just say it's my new (maybe forever) favorite movie? Pharrell Williams set the tone through the soundtrack and Steve Carell warmed my heart. I am just like the littlest girl, Agnes. Collecting anything with a Unicorn on it!

As for my outfit today, I broke one of my own rules: denim on denim. I never do it. Yet seeing the varying washes and styles it seemed approachable. I love these train conductor pants. The cut is just right for my long legs and adds a sixties touch, which I of course adore.

Sandals for Summer

Matiko wedges

These gorgeous sandals will marry my Summer wardrobe well this season. My favorite part is how the wedge matches the upper structure. I'm not a fan of light cork wedges paired with a darker upper. This look is a lot more subtle. Did I mention Jessica Stroup is also a fan?

I dream of Jeannie

I finally have some time to rewind and relax; after a long and exhausting week (and weekend) of Holiday hoopla! I was away for almost a week, 6 days to be exact. And now I must prepare for NYE '09. I still don't know what to wear. 50% chance of rain and 50% chance of a cold front coming through. Decisions. Decisions. Any ideas??? I look forward to reading some. On another note, Sweety, our Christmas puppy, learned some cool tricks. How to "sit" and how to "crawl" she's an excellent student. I hope to have some videos up later on in the blog.

Fashion Chalet: She is one of the 'queens' of the blogosphere (haha) getting up to 100 comments on each post, yet she answers and replies to every single one individually. She could just be lazy and say 'oh thanks' but she doesn't, she actually cares and replies. I just find this so kind and amazing, it must be incredibly time-consuming!!
