Right now it's kind of chilly outside. But before my bones felt chilled to the core, I was able to galavant about town in sandals, and spring-ready pastels. I think I'll continue playing with the color blocking trend this Spring/Summer season.

When I first received this piece in the mail it came as a button up dress. I decided to wear it open over cut offs a la Nicole Richie. It's a great pick me up for any casual outfit. The addition of the long, opened blouse creates a bit of fun and flair for even the most casual of looks.. Exhibit A. Cut offs and a tank top... of course, the look thirsted for some much needed height, in the form of my favorite suede wedges.

P.S. I need your help. How do you cure insomnia? I used to be a deep sleeper. Nothing woke me up. Now, it takes me hours to fall asleep. Which would be fine if I could actually stay asleep. Instead I wake up from the slightest sounds. Any solutions? I'd greatly appreciate them.

Palazzo Pants

I remember when I first got these pants. My grandmother used to wear them all of the time for long walks on the beach. One day I was browsing through an old copy of Vogue that was sitting just under the glass of her coffee table. Lauren Hutton in palazzo pants literally jumped off the page at me. I showed her and she told me about her pants. Since then, these pants have become a great summer go-to and very fun to get dressed up in. They weigh less than a postcard. My Mom says a lot of my love for Fashion comes from my grandmother who adores dressing up and shopping for hours. To this day she still dresses up, even for the grocery store. On the other hand, my Mom walked all of Disney World in heels when I was just a toddler. You can see some photos here. ;)

Fashion is an extension of who I am. It makes me happy. What else can I say?

I got a bunch of emails from my Coachella post asking for a close-up of my shoes. I feel light as a feather in these. Who knew wedges could weigh so little?

I'm not sure where your comments have disappeared to in Blogger land for the previous two posts. I just hope they turn up sooner than lost socks in a dryer. I ended up chalking up yesterday's disastrous events to it being Friday the 13th. At least my Mom and Dad had a good time, if was their wedding anniversary and apparently chocolate cake and champagne was involved.

Sandals for Summer

These gorgeous sandals will marry my Summer wardrobe well this season. My favorite part is how the wedge matches the upper structure. I'm not a fan of light cork wedges paired with a darker upper. This look is a lot more subtle. Did I mention Jessica Stroup is also a fan?
