Another video from New York!

This time it's a tour of the Central Park Zoo. I hope you like it. While we were there, we saw crew blocking off a section of the zoo. They were setting up to film a new television show: Unforgettable. I thought that was pretty cool and would now like to tune in to watch.

Checking In. Acting like a tourist? No matter, the Plaza Hotel in New York is so famous that even fictional characters have savored walking down its hallowed halls. Kevin McCallister (Home Alone 2) and who can forget about Eloise? It's as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside. THE BEST PART? This elegant hotel is situated mere blocks from Central Park. These outfit photos were taken on the same day I had the lucky chance of meeting Miroslava Duma.

Upon checking into my Hotel in New York, I was greeted with care packages, flowers and delicious desserts. I felt like a celebrity. Although, I never let any of these surprise indulgences go to my head. Instead, I'm left completely flattered. I'm always thankful to the brands and companies who both read and support Fashion Chalet. My New York stay was complete with new makeup products, fun jewelry to test drive and a few new frocks and handbags to play dress up with.

New York Fashion Week " February 2012 "

This will be my first New York Fashion Week "Season" without Alex. :( He is in Miami at the moment with his parents. His mother is re-cooperating nicely though. :) This time, I'll be accompanied by my assistant. I look forward to sharing plenty of photos and coverage once I'm back. I'll be attending the shows, the Bloglovin' Awards, and a couple of after-parties. I always get excited whenever Fashion Week is near. It gives me a giddy feeling inside, not unlike Christmas. I hope to see (and meet) some of you there!! ;)

Fashion's Night Out + Times Square

The top is really a miniskirt I turned into a floaty, cropped bandeau.


Fashion's Night Out started in Soho and ended in Times Square. After a while, I just couldn't take the crowded streets in super-high heels any longer. Eventually made it Midtown for ballet flats, dinner and The Nanny.



My favorite part about Times Square? Despite the exhaustive crowd, and feeling part of an ant colony, the anonymity is amazing.

There's this electric energy that flows through me whenever I am in New York City. I feel at home there.
The LOFT flagship store was très amazing. Beautifully organized by color, cut and accessory.




I couldn't believe the party myself. To see and meet Alexa Chung was pretty much unbelievable!
After leaving the soirée for Dinner, I came back to find Alexis Bledel 2 heads in front of me in line. QUEL SURPRISE! I have to say both girls were not only prettier in person, but just as sweet as I'd imagined! Ra Ra Riot puts on a great show, amazing LIVE. Catch them if you can.



Visiting is bittersweet, always wondering when I'll be back.
I love New York, and hope to stay in the Bowery Hotel again soon!

LOFT Style Studio after party! - Ra Ra Riot / Alexa Chung

LOFT unveils its Fall collection at the Style Studio launch after party in The Bowery Hotel.
The party was as tasteful and charming as the Hotel it was hosted in.



An exclusive collaboration styled by: Tina Chai, Kate Young, Joanne Blades and Alia Ahmed-Yahia. These four fashionable women worked with the LOFT fall collection to create effortless looks from 10 chic Fall essentials.



The adorable Gilmore girl, Alexis Bledel, and I chatted a bit about our shared Birthdays. She playfully told me how "we are only 1 year and 1 day apart" in age.* Hers September 16 and mine September 17.




Waiting for the Band.



Alexa Chung! What a doll. I told her how much I adore and am inspired by her effortless sense of style. She complimented me back, "You're hair is so lovely. I love your braid." I, of course, beamed.

Alexa Chung was brilliant in the DJ booth. Loved her spin on Jefferson Airplane's Somebody to Love.



The Lucky Alpha Bloggers. With Vyque, Beth and Valerie. I was glad to be able to meet up again with them at the after party.



Party in full swing. The champagne and hors d'oeuvres were delicious.
