Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of those movies that whenever it comes on, stops me in my tracks and ropes me in to watch.

In the off chance you haven't seen it, Breakfast at Tiffany's is about a young New York socialite (Hepburn as Holly Golightly) who becomes interested in a young man who has moved into her apartment building. Many crazy tales and antics soon follow suit.

What movie holds the same enchantment for you?

This will be my first New York Fashion Week "Season" without Alex. :( He is in Miami at the moment with his parents. His mother is re-cooperating nicely though. :) This time, I'll be accompanied by my assistant. I look forward to sharing plenty of photos and coverage once I'm back. I'll be attending the shows, the Bloglovin' Awards, and a couple of after-parties. I always get excited whenever Fashion Week is near. It gives me a giddy feeling inside, not unlike Christmas. I hope to see (and meet) some of you there!! ;)

Fashion Box Coffee Table Book

Isn't this cropped sweater from Rag & Bone a cheery Holiday red? I can't wait to wear it. My new Fashion coffee table book is already decorating my bookshelf. A fun read (and how could it not be?) with Sarah Jessica Parker and Audrey Hepburn both, on the cover. My two muses: both different, both stylish. A balance of my two favorite kinds of Fashion: edgy/unexpected and classic/sophistication.

This is undoubtedly my favorite time of year. Baking desserts, Holiday shopping, inventing Christmas Cocoa concoctions and savoring this wonderful feeling. I've already downloaded about 3 albums worth of Christmas music from iTunes too! ;)

I can't believe it's already Thursday! And that next week is Thanksgiving! Can you?

Style Icon: Audrey Hepburn

From the opening credits of Breakfast at Tiffany's to the closing credits of Sabrina, Audrey Heburn became a very special Style Icon for centuries to come. Because of her poise and elegance and understated demeanor, the term "It's So Audrey!" was coined. She is a role model in every sense. She never believed in living a frivolous life filled with ostentatious wares. She chose cars for comfort instead of their exterior or name. She lived for her family not for the fame. She did indeed encompass a dazzling personality and with it, carried a lovely sense of style. She is forever preserved in my collection of films and coffee table books...

I can't say much *yet* but I may get to live out a "very Audrey moment" during New York Fashion Week!! Oh, I'm so excited and really cannot wait to share the news with you... Soon!

P.S. Congratulations to Mihaela who won the Hot Pink Romwe Clutch giveaway. Thanks to everyone who participated. :) Don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin' so you won't miss out on any future giveaways.

Holly Golightly

Who better to emulate this Halloween than the person I adore most in the world, my icon, Audrey Hepburn. Here I am portraying the role of Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffanys. What are YOU this Halloween? What are YOUR plans? We're off to the Cinema as we always do each year, this time to see Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D. Then it's to a Costume Party at night under the stars. I made the caramels.

Holly Golightly: You know those days when you get the mean reds?
Paul Varjak: The mean reds, you mean like the blues?
Holly Golightly: No. The blues are because you're getting fat and maybe it's been raining too long, you're just sad that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?
Paul Varjak: Sure.
Holly Golightly: Well, when I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there. If I could find a real-life place that'd make me feel like Tiffany's, then - then I'd buy some furniture and give the cat a name!

Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end--
waiting 'round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.

Soul Meets Body

Thank you to Moxsie for sending over this very MK Olsen feather necklace, by Miss KK.
I love it. Treasure it.

Tee: Audrey Hepburn. Necklace: Miss KK. Sequin Leggings: Express. Zipper Heels: Go Jane platforms.

Seth Cohen and Death Cab for Cutie are interchangeable. I'm so thankful for Josh Schwartz and his creation of The OC, Seth Cohen and Ryan Atwood as well as for introducing me to some of my favorite bands! I'm also very thankful for my influences: Old Hollywood glamour, feathers, sequins and flapper style pieces; especially from the Audrey Hepburn era. And my other icon? Pocahontas. Soul meets body.........

Happy Friday!!
